    he apear in the japonise ff2 which dosent came out in america until ps1 remakes, he is a dungeon because he eats the boat, and he is a summon in the american ff2 which is ff4 in japan, =D

    iirc it is first introduced by FF3 for the NES, if not then, I am 100% sure it was on FFV even for the SNES so FFVIII is not the first game to include leviathan.
