@imogengraceleyshon N727NY is the planes tail number. It's just a code that stays with an aircraft until it is retired. The N is just what all aircraft in the United States tail numbers begin with, followed by a letter or number code. Like in Canada the tail numbers are different, and may be like C-ABCD.

Absolutely my favorite aircraft. Does anyone have videos of the rear stairs and the inspection hatch for #2 engine. I actually used the stairs at Akron-Canton. That was a long time ago!
