  • I'll have to look up these books.I think its important to read as much as possible.I'm really a horrible, terrible reader.Reading along with audio books helps me a little.I wish I had a teacher I could access & just ask questions to as I read because I get lost in the text and have to re-read over & over again & often times still don't retain, I'm trudging through Moby Dick right now.Hopefully my reading skills improve, maybe there could be more reading groups where people read aloud together.

  • "just get organized and tell people the truth. there aren't any magic tricks to it." brilliant.

  • How can you? Speak everywhere stand strong and do not ever let anyone stop you!

I hope we can create a society where we come up with new more effective, creative learning methods, tools & resources & they are made accessible to all-& that learning & knowledge acquisition is encouraged more than status & material gain- & that people have more time to cultivate their intellectual potential for the betterment of society.

Day to day activities, errand, chores & interactions are draining, painful, confusing & energy depleting-as well as all the stuff floating in my mind concerning family,society-then there's so much knowledge.I try to learn new things every day -for years I even began keeping a diary of new things I have learned-new words, names of artists, intellectuals, movements, philosophies. If I were on a hundred mile run id probably be at the 5 mile mark- also I like to exercise & practice music.

Reading out loud with people less ignorant than me who I can ask questions to---and provide some meaningful context to the activity of reading--when I just open a book it is like diving in at any point in the sea of information at any arbitrary point--I've experienced many intellectuals who are very impatient when you ask questions that to them seem stupid--makes people afraid to ask questions or even attempt to talk about anything-but that is how you learn-person to person--

No I don't think it is dyslexia--I think I have a lot on my mind--& have a hard time focusing being pulled in so many directions-there is a lot to learn--also I grew up in a TV era & never learned to read well when the those brain cells were really durable--I have a hard time focusing & retaining info--plus I'm learning bit by bit like a jigsaw puzzle--a few pieces here and there-reading out loud helps-I'd like to live somewhere where I can read out loud for hours & not bother anyone-

  • @catgumart Dyslexia ?

  • Chomskys laugh is brilliant.

  • Actually Marly, I did not comment out of context. I quoted Chomsky verbatim and clearly, explicitly [bracketed] my own interpretation of Chomsky. Imskin understood my interpretation, and responded to me very helpfully. I then pointed out that his response does not seem to rule out my interpretation. My interpretation may be wrong -- I readily admit that I am not at all knowledgeable about this subject -- but the source of my error has not been pointed out so far.

You commented totally out of context regarding Noam and Obama changing the meanging so you lied terribly
