  • lol i have to leave a comment here. Idiots who say they are mistreating these animals and making them do tricks for food and for that its animal abuse are as dumb as a pile of crap. People have dogs and have them shake paw or do tricks for treats everyday. These animals enjoy doing what they are doing. They love swimming around and horseplaying.

  • you do realize that seaworld has a very good rehabilitation program right?! They get these whales that have been hit by boat propellors, and have been injured by other humanly things, and they give them a chance at survival, and a healthy life. These shows aren't to make money, they are to educate the public about the dangers they go through in the wild. They do the shows because by the time they heal fully, they aren't able to live in the wild on their own. Do research before you post!

  • These orcas don't apply to this but i hate to see orcas fins droop it doesn't look healthy in a way and it certainly doesn't look like an orca I think having these huge animals perform is stupid we dont need orca shows

  • Honestly, stop thinking in terms of how happy the dolphins are (because they are dolphins). That's a big concern, but we can't really KNOW. Regardless of if Sea World donates, think of what Shamu does for people. Education. It needs to happen. And I for one think that since Sea World now has a captive population, they should do more breeding to avoid taking from the wild, if possible. Because I do think it would suck to live in an ocean and move to a tank.

  • @youbetya22 They commonly die from stress, in light of that prospect happiness and life span can indeed go hand in hand. Furthermore, SeaWorld has decimated the oceans and has severely damaged the Southern Resident orca Population as a whole, simply for captures to make more profit at their parks. Captivity is wrong.

  • Yeah because life span is ALWAYS connected to orca happiness. Id be more concerned about the Japanese destroying 1k's of whales and dolphins before id consider seaworld mistreating their animals.

  • @youbetya22 Average captive orca life span: 8 years. Average wild orca life span? Well over 50. Think before you post.

  • @tmbl91 None of these orcas have been rescued. SeaWorld destroyed the Southern Resident Population of orcas as a whole. Furthermore, their conservation fund is a sham. They donate 0.07% of their annual profits to conversation only because the law requires it. Learn the truth behind this industry!

  • @CountryBuff08 .... *COUGH* TILLY *COUGH COUGH*

  • my uncle designed these mega screens, and my dad works for the weather service, checking their weather instruments. we've got lots of affiliation with sea world.

  • @Mrsequals3 umm...have you actually seen the size of these whales? if they didn't want to do what they're doing, they wouldn't. no human being could push them around.

  • THE OLD DAYS WHEN THE SHOW WAS NOT BORRING!
