Marine Shamar Thomas Voice Of Indignation on NYPD Brutality Towards OWS Protesters

An activist in the Occupy Wall Street movement, Thomas voiced his opinions of the NYPD police brutality that had and has been plaguing the #OWS movement. "It's not a war zone," Thomas is heard yelling to the NYPD. "These are unarmed people." Thomas repeatedly tells the cops, "These are US citizens. Leave these people alone." Thomas comes from a long line of people who sacrifice for their country: Mother, Army Veteran (Iraq), Step father, Army, active duty (Afghanistan), Grand father, Air Force veteran (Vietnam), Great Grand Father Navy veteran (World War II).

@RVCIpodHelp - I did serve my country in the military... you obviously have not. And trust me, the majority of servicemen share my view that this tool disgraced his uniform, the military, and this country. He lost all respect from fellow marines after pulling that stunt and he knows it. Maybe if you served in my country's military, you'd understand.

@PaulPradaShow HE disgraced his uniform, look at those police, they are harrasing and assaulting unarmed and peaceful civilians. They have no idea what they are doing other than trying to look strong, when they aren't. I'd like to see you serve in the marines, come home then see your own civilians being hurt by cops, actually assaulted by police.

A dirtbag "Marine" who disgraced his uniform, his Corps, and his country to attempt to make a cheap political point. My commander's in the military would've spit on this man. They say, "once a Marine, always a Marine" but I think you've just witnessed a very big exception to that right here.

He does not represent the Marine Corps or Marine's views. If he wants to voice his opinion,,, thats fine, but dont use your voice with OUR uniform on. People that protest have their American rights to do so, but to keep people away from businesses and throw trash everywhere and do drugs in these camps and to where uniforms which associate me with their views is not right.

@1DarkMasK1 - What is Shamar going to do with the rest of his young life? Walk around in his fatigues with his ribbons on his chest telling anybody who will listen and that won't be many, that they don't lie? What do you suppose his odds are for gainful employment in the private sector? "These ribbons don't lie" in a job interview might land him a job as a laborer but it wouldn't go over well on much past that!
