In 2008, the Rushcliffe Comprehensive School from Nottingham were crowned the Giving Nation Award national winners.

Rushcliffe School won the prestigious award having shown outstanding social action within their school and local community through a wide variety of campaigns, fund-raising initiatives and social enterprise projects. The School's prize was for representatives of the citizenship club to visit Cameroon to witness the work of a The Rainforest Foundation UK on the ground and thereby gain valuable insights into the role of charities.

This short video shows the students learning how the Rainforest Foundation UK supports the rights of the indigenous, Baka people in claiming their land and preserving their habitat from logging.
