I am not sure you can say he has turned his back
on the LGBT community. He has failed to act
but he is still saying he will. It wasn't long ago the
president was trying to exclude this community
from the constitution. So, turning his back may be
a little strong.

Isn't the point that presidents are NOT chosen in the
far saner way you outline and we are stuck with
politicians. A particular type of person. And to be fair,
how much actual discretion do you think these guys
really have? That said, I too am disappointed. But
far more scared of the alternative.

I have a problem with how laborers get treated in the workplace but socialists have not proven to solve this problem ( to put it lightly ). " Stupid teabaggers" yeah, we need to just sit down and shut up! Their protests may be misdirected but at least they aren't in a lackadaisical daze. You can't get a feel for what's happening in America overseas watching mainstream news reports. Long live the Republic!
