  • It's funny how they say to turn off all the electronics, but many times in the flight deck, I keep my phone on. . . It really has no effect on the nav what so ever...

  • I think the reason they have "everyone" turn electronics off is because as a whole (30-50 people using phones and laptops) would cause enough interference to hinder the more sensitive aircraft systems. Also, I am sure all electronics emit differing amounts of interference as well. So where as one item would cause nothing, another would.

    Just my thoughts.

    Haha... me too.

  • Oh yeah, Fort Lauderdale Thunder storms are powerfullllllll !!!

  • I know pilots that call their family just before landing, so they know when to pick them up. There is no interference.

  • Camera has not effect , just electornics whos send signals exs: Phones,Laptops radios and etc

  • Yes, but video cameras really have no effect on aircraft systems. Trust me. My FO sometimes videotapes on the cockpit too you know.

  • nice capture!
