@MattBellamysSexFace ....as I stated in my reply...."other styles have different belt rankings".....Google "Mike March Bio"....he was my sensei when I lived in Michigan.....he's a 7th Dan (Degree) Midnight Blue (Black) Belt.....you will see that what I said is correct.....Peace !!

@e55amgkomp well you must be talking about a different type of karate, cos i asked my sensei.

@MattBellamysSexFace In the style that I study, Moo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do (Korean), there are 5 belts (white, purple green, red and black)...there are 10 gups..10th gup is a white belt...9, 8 and 7 are purple...6, 5 and 4 are green..3, 2 and 1 are red..then u become a black belt...there are then 10 black belt dans (degrees)..1 is the lowest & 10 the highest...other styles have different belt rankings...I've even seen Tang Soo Do with the following belts (white, yellow, orange, green, red, black)

@Guard655 Why not? Their from is good. Remember this is a kyu rank kata. I don't know the context the sensei was having them train under. Was the focus form? Were they cooling down or warming up?

@nogardtech i thought it were 13 dans, and my opinion is, katas in wherever this video is are much different from katas here in spain.

dans are only for black belts, from white to brown belts there are no dans, just kyus.
