  • Hey CHUCK!

Do you have OTHER video for the real interior work... perhaps brand new Legendary seats, Dynamat instalation, etc..etc..???

We have a 1964 Barracuda 273, it's pretty much the same like yours except ours is the first year when it came out. PLEASE share your restoration video..

    Thanks!

  • @831maverick >> I do not have video of the process, but I do have pics on a Kodak account, like photobucket, but Kodak's version... if you email me at cdscreener@comcast.net I can send you the link to the gallery... Thanks ! Chuck

  • im restoring mine. its got a 273 also. thats a badass ride. what rims are those?(brand)

  • They are Cragar SS. It is the stock 5 x 4 small bolt pattern. I got them from Newstalgia, with the BFG rubber already on them, 14 x 7's all around. THANKS !

  • a pointless distributor eh ;) lmao

  • Yeah, I knew how stupid that sounded as soon as I said it, but hey the cameras rolling, so I went with it. That was pretty dumb. I meant to say that I converted it from points to electronic ignition, but instead "pointless" is what came out... Nice Catch !

  • my 65 is a shell right now but in the process of putting a 318 small block in her

  • i have a 65 barracuda ima put a 360 small block in it but i cant find a rear end that will stand alot of power.the stock one will just get eatin up...

  • Great job on the car, looks pretty good overall.

I use hydraulic lifters and cam, almost bottom them out to prevent pump-up and adjustments, use the adjustable rockers. Nice power trick for different ratio. Can change distributor springs, weights and also timing advance rates to improve. Maybe even a different control box, they are not all alike.

Just trying to help fellow cuda owners, have almost 20 years with my cuda, also a mechanic for many years.

  • I know you wanted that 4-bbl, who doesn't, but now you got huge ports running into tiny head ports, still the tiny chambers and valves, that exhaust hurts you more than helps for the smaller cubic inch engines, besides the 273 bottleneck drivers side exhaust defeats any gains. Advance the timing, started too easy, heard flat spot and hesitation, Longer cranks to start and run better, use bosch platinum plugs. This 273 should rev like a motorcycle in the 8,000 rpm range and crisp.
