This is for all my Voyager friends, especially from the American Voyager Association. www.americanvoyagerassoc.org There's been many discussions about how to put the Voyager 12, othwerwise known as a ZG1200, on the center stand over the years. Today I thought it might help to see a video of how it's done. Plus I wanted to experiment with the video function on the new digital camera. It should only take a couple tries before you become an expert at popping it up on the stand. If you don't have any air in the shocks, it makes it difficult because the bike sits low enough to where you can't get the first stage of the stand down.
1) Flip the first stage down
2) Make sure the bike is straight up and not leaned over
3) Push the second stage down and push through it like you were pushing in the clutch on an old truck. Slow, and deliberate.
Hope this helps! Thanks for looking!
Video taken on a Canon SX100is Very happy with the quality of vids from this camera and I've only taken 2 or 3 so far. We'll put it to the test while rolling down the road on the bike and see how good the vids look then.
Thanks for looking!
With money, anything is possible, LOL. Seriously though, you'd need to graft the bottom middle of a XII frame, in other words, the mounting points of the stand, onto the GL. Most of the clearance issues could probably be addressed, as long as the whole assembly didn't hang down too low. Only way to know for sure would be to grab a stand and crawl under the GL. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
