question. isnt cant be saved about a life that's being lived in the rearview mirror kinda. like someone thats not taking control of there life and just letting it lead them wherever? it would definitely explain the chorus. hell it would explain most of the song to me.

exactly. people forget that the lyricist is a real person with his own problems. writing is how he deals with it. he wrote it for himself, not to please a particular fan who wanted to feel happy.
