In interviews, John is always very modest about his playing but in reality he has come up with really great, ingenious and far from simple bass lines.

@sharinedemarchenar69 I have to agree. And they've proven it a lot since then. There are other live versions of this song, even here on youtube, that don't have near as much stuff going on around them; and they STILL rock!
