Judson University Rat - ladder maze

Psychology student teaches rat to pull rope, climb ladder, and so she can eats the cheeto. Ruth is aprox. 15 weeks old.

The rats I trained where kept separate at a very early age through out the training process. I was the only one to provide affection/ physical stimulation to them.

I used the 'backward chaining' method and her favorite treats to reinforce the behaviors I wanted her to do.

hey its me again lol i was wondering how to build the ladder maze so i was wondering if you could help me out with pictures or instructions on how to build it ty :)

Apparatus: total measures 30 wide x 50 tall x 36 deep, and appears rectangle shaped. The apparatus is of wood construction consisting of a start box located at the bottom, three platforms one above the other being 11 apart. Each platform increases in size going top to bottom 11 1/2 x 12, 15 x 12, 20 x 12, and a ladder 11 1/2 x 3 attached to a rope running through a pulley located at the top having a weight at the opposite end of the rope from the ladder.
