http://amd.com/ - Do you have any questions for me to ask AMD / ATI when I'm on their campus tomorrow? Ask your questions with clarity and proper PUGS structure and there's a good chance we'll get a representative to ansewr them in a video!

  • ATi has beat Nvida

  • ATI is a graphics card manufacturer, AMD is a CPU manufacturer. AMD bought ATI, and if you have a combination of both in your PC, it works better than mixing AMD and nVidia, or Intel and ATI. I personally prefer ATI over nVidia because it has DDR5 memory for its graphics card (meaning it transfers info to the CPU faster, which makes a huge impact) while nVidia focuses on Memory size more. Plus ATI and AMD tend to be cheaper for overall the same quality.

  • i am so confuse about ati catalyst, i have mobo msi870ag54,with ati radeon 5770, what should i instal?? is it ati catalyst from my mobo or vga cause they have the same driver.

  • @mostliberal

Cheaper? Nope, check out their motherboards + cpu's and compare them to intels,

You can get a socket 775 mobo for between 20-50$ but any mobo from AMD be it new or old is like 200$ and then the cpu's only get more extravegant.

I could build a high end Core 2 Duo system for 200$ total cost for an AMD system would be like 500$

  • Grrr, i hate some american accents, especially his ^^

  • I have A problem with my ATI gigabyte HD 5830

on MW2 and B.O gray screen freeze for 7 sec and recover .

    HELP APPRECIATED :P

  • @dethklok1989 wrong way around bud, benchmarks say intel wins,..

  • @Acceptable76 well, he probably know's why, amd are babies compared to intel, abd to compete they used to sell overclocked cpus, now they dont compete with intel cpu's at all, top 3 cpu in benchmarks are intel i3, i5 and i7

:-\ probably why the bought out ati, they knew they weren't competitive in cpu's

  • @KyleIsKoolerThanYou you might want to see the currentrbenchmarks :-\, amd cpus are really lacking nowadays.

And the reason that system works well is its amd and ati, whichare streamlined for each other.. just like if you got asus and intel with nvidea.. might not be any real big dif, its just personal preferce.. long as its works for what you need it for eh :-)

  • @mostliberal uh, nvidea has GDDR5 too.. amd tend to be cheaper because all there cpu's are lower then intels on the benchmarks. qaulity.. lol my old pentium 233mhz has been working for 18 years as a file server

you show me any amd thats been working past 5.... oh right, you cant, because ya get what ya pay for :-\

  • What video card is best for Ubuntu Linux (AGP8x) Nvidia or an ATI Video card?

  • @colouredbills I'm Smarter Than You,And It Took You 30mins To Think Of Your Shitty Comeback.

And By The Way,You Forgot To Use A Period At The End Of Your Sentence.
