The first who sang this song is Bob Dylan (for the soundtrack of the 1973 film Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid), but there are a lot of singers (and band) who sang it. The Gun's version is very famous, that's probably why you think "knockin on heaven's door" is one of their songs :)

Yeah you're probably right!But the song is from Bob and not from Avril (even if she sang it) that's why we have written 'Bob Dylan' ... :)
