@WheelockSimplxFan113 That was my old hyperbaricchicken101 account that is now closed but there is a problem with that. A 4050 uses around 12-24 volts and a smoke detector only uses 3-9 volts and you may either be putting stress on your detector or it has a way underpowered voltage and won't sound.

LOL it sounded like it said "Fire, SH*T!"
-
That's the same smoke alarm I have!!!
-
I'd just get a fuckin 4050 and hook it up to the piezo wire in the detector. THAT will wake ur kids up :)
-
Kids don't always wake up to high pitched fire alarms like that so I recomend the squealer horn detectors.

I'm sure the millions of people who have been saved by smoke alarms in the past 25 years would be grateful people like "me" are that into fire alarms? poor attitude buddy, some day it may save your life! I would remind you of this years fire prevention week slogan "Smoke Alarms" A noise you can LIVE with"

@piefish Actually it is a "Smoke Alarm" the unit shown has no manual initiation devices or heat detection devices. This would part of a fire alarm. The difference being a Fire Alarm System has Smoke detection, heat detection, if necessary water flow and air duct detection along with manual pull stations to initiate the audible appliances which initiates a signal through either bells, speakers or Horn speakers and is supervised by a main control panel for any abnormalities.
