Music of Chance Mandy Patinkin James Spader

Clips from one of my favourite movies: "The Music of Chance". In the film Jim Nashe (Patinkin) and a wanderer Jack Pozzi (Spader) lose a card game to two eccentric millionaires and agree to pay them back by living on site and building a wall of ancient stones. Things become desperate and dark when it appears the men are trapped there then Pozzi tries to escape, is beaten up and supposedly taken to hospital. Nashe never sees him again and he knows Pozzi is dead so vows revenge against the men responsible.
Music is by Ray Wilson.

Sadly, the DVD is only in a foreign language and is not playable on players in the US or in Canada.  I don't understand why that is. This is a one-of-kind film. I saw it twice in the theater and would certainly love to own it if I could play it.

yeah, the dvd I have is region 0 but says it will not play in the US/Canada/Japan/South Korea. It's a shame you can't get it there.

I have to say I have never heard of this movie! I was searching through Mandy Patinkin vids on youtube and stumbled across this. This looks wonderful! In a tragic way of course, but definately a must see! I'll have to check for it on amazon. Thank you so so much for uploading this!

Jack was dead in the field by the wall. He was left at the wall as a warning to Nashe.

Nashe said he was in need of medical attention to {1} get a ride out of there, to the hospital or {2} test Calvin.

{1} Since he wasn't allowed to go to the hospital (thrown off the jeep twice). He knew he was imprisoned. After his beating... he knew Calvin beat Jack to death {2} If Jack was dead... the story about him recovering in hospital would be a lie and Nashe would know he has to escape... or die.

Wow, this is my favourite Paul Auster novel! I didn't even know they made a movie from it and it's starring James Spader one of my fav actors!
