A live performance isn't supposed to be 100% perfect. I definitely don't think he is a bad singer live.. definitely not.. just because it doesn't sound like what you heard on gossip girl does not make it bad. Its just a different sound from the album... I think the live versions of his songs are good if not better than some of the album versions. He is amazing.

Based upon the fact that @kevinotube watches Gossip Girl, I assume he's expecting perfection? Matt Hales (Aqualung) often sings his music differently than it appears on his records because he likes the change, so the music does not become old or overused during his tours and performances.
