  • I don't disagree that it's easy to do once you learn how to do it. But I'm betting that it takes the average user much, much longer to change this shield out the first few times than any other shield at this price point.

  • @artoodaytoah I think the main issue is folks are reluctant to handle the helmet with any level of force because they paid so much for the helmet. Once you go at it in a confident manner it is easy IMO

  • @artoodaytoah I learned how to do this from a friend of mine (Dave) a few years back. When I would change mine I would move slow and careful, took forever and never got comfortable. Then I watch Dave change his in 2 sceonds treating his helmet like an enemy of the state.

  • MOST HELPFUL VIDEO! omg...

I went to an older video from an official Arai site with the old man showing me how to remove it and replace it. Was able to remove it, but his process on showing one how to Replace the shield is something different..

After about 1 hour of failure, I found your video, replaced my lens, and am typing about how epic you are... (Yes, that's how much trouble I was having...)

    THANK YOU

  • @NERDRelay No worries, happy to help!

  • Mate, you vid reviews are great. I bought a scorpion all in jacket based on your recommendation and like you say "bamm" awesome coat. I`m thinking the arai chaser haga 41 for my lid, as I`m not a big track day man, whatcha think?

  • The Chaser or Vector is an excellent helmet for sure. Very comfortable

  • i don't change very often. When I do, it is at home and I consult the Arai manual. Yesterday on, the road, I needed to change shields. Of course I don't carry the manual around, but its a blessing in this modern era of smart phones and You Tube that I do have easy access to this now. It is nice to have this resource whenever needed. I hope it never comes down. Great demo!

  • I had a heck of a time taking the shield off for one hour doing the sensitive way. However, after watching this video, taking off and putting on the shield literally took 5 seconds, piece of cake!

    Thanks guys, the best!

  • Best face shield change video I've ever seen. Thanks for making things easy for us.

  • @Sportbiketrackgear I know that was definitely the case with my Corsair V. The first time I tried, it took me about 15 minutes to get it put back on. Now it's a 5 second process. It's just not that intuitive to be rough with your brand new $800 lid.

  • Dudes, your video is awesome! I bought my first Arai (RX7 Tommy Gun) after riding for a few years and I just couldn't figure out the shield thingy. You made it SO much easier! You guys rock.
