1 of the best djs ever to come out of Miami ! Uncle Al birth name Albert Leroy Moss had a ride out on the mic party style that set him apart from the other djs, he would set up his speakers in the projects, the Pac Jam, The Carver Center, National Guard, or anywhere he could and was guaranteed to set the party off. He was also listened to heavily on the underground radio stations in the 90's on whatever dial was free in Liberty City. Dj Uncle Al also had more than 5 albums released before an untimely death that occurred on September 10, 2001 Police have charged Darnen Fabian Watson, an inmate at the Coleman federal prison, with gunning down the DJ . Leads in the case had gone cold until 2005, when investigators got a tip Watson was talking in prison about the murder. Police say Moss's murder can be blamed on a fight between two stations competing for the same frequency in Miami's underground pirate radio scene. Watson who allegedly operated an illegal Jamaican-themed pirate station, reportedly told the inmates he thought Moss was the person who stole his radio transmitter, putting the station off the air.
