FINDING THE WORDS - (This is the Short Version of recently released documentary)-
A Documentary about Children Recovering from Autism

FINDING THE WORDS is the story of eight "perfect babies",
each given a grim diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) as toddlers, whose grieving families fight prejudice, misinformation, and despair to get their children well again.

Filmed in thirteen locations across the United States, this hour-long documentary is an ensemble piece, presenting home videos, photographs and medical reports of each family's long, emotional journey; as well as interviews with the families, the childrens' doctors, and therapists. Commentary on these remarkable stories is provided by a courageous group of doctors working to rewrite the future for ASD afflicted children by accepting a surprisingly controversial premise: autistic children can recover.

  • Jeff Bradstreet is not a Neuroscientist, he is an OB/GYN. Andrew Wakefield has lost his medical license in the UK. Autistic children deserve ethical medicine, not these quacks. The children in this video still look very autistic to me. Andrew Wakefield is a criminal.

  • Correct, Dr. Bradstreet did complete study in OB/GYN at his residency; please see his Post Grad work where his studies included: training in Hyperbaric Medicine, Toxicology, ENT, Neurology, Ophthalmology and Cardiology

  • Ryan's story, could easily be our child's story... MMR vaccine, followed by a bad reaction a week later (very high fever, thrush, rash, diarrhea) The ER physician acknowledged and documented that it was in fact a reaction to the MMR vaccine. Approximately one week after recovering from this reaction, the stimming began, and my husband and I were no longer dealing with the same child that we had taken into the ER just one week prior. Thousands of parents can't ALL be wrong about this!

  • Autistic symptoms can be cured. This is not arguable -it's a FACT. Countless children have been given diagnoses of ASD and then later evaluated by specialists and doctor's and test to show no abnormal symptoms. Some people react better to treatment than others, just like cancer patients and other illnesses- not everyone can be cured but some can. Why dispute that? It's happening and it's wonderful that it is! This should be celebrated! Read "Let Me Hear Your Voice" by Catherine Maurice

  • @christschool I smell another Woo Fighter who can't read; but thinks he can diagnose autism. Hmmm...

  • @porterof5 Proof?

  • @smasherhits Alex Jones is another huckster and conspiracy theorist that also believes 9/11 was a hoax, wants to rebuild David Koresh's Davidian compound in Waco Texas and is generally thought of as a nut job. Wakefield looses even more credibility by even talking to this certified psycho nut job.

  • @christschool Go watch the fantastic Dr. Andrew Wakefield interviews with Alex Jones here on youtube to hear the facts before being so ignorant..and you got your facts from..?

  • @smasherhits More.....The reporters also found that Olmsted never talked to the doctors serving the Amish. Lastly, you can't study a population that doesn't vaccinate because nearly all do.

Look, I take you at your word of what you think happened to your child. Its difficult to raise autistic children. I have one and he can be hell to raise. We constantly have to fight for them. Its easy to be angry, but you'll have to move on at some point to be effective.

  • @smasherhits Wakefield was found incompetent by a jury of his fellow medical peers and stripped of his license. The Amish do vaccinate and you are relying on "evidence" from a formerly fired UPI writer Dan Olmsted to assert they don't. However, reporters followed up with the county physicians that attend to the Amish in the communities Olmsted wrote about and they did find there were autistic and they also found that the doctors were vaccinating Amish children.

  • @christschool You are the one who is very wrong..The slanderous article in question was written by one Brian Deer who put out the hoax that Wakefield was a fraud, paid off people etc..Do you know what a hit piece is?..You havent a clue..My boy got autism immediately post MMR and it is no coincidence..The amish dont vaccinate their children and Autism is nearly non existant..A full scale study by the medical establishment has never been done on this..Why?

  • @smasherhits Wrong, Wakefield was being paid by trial lawyers to produce "evidence" to support their cases and in some children, he tore up their intestines and left them with even more disabilities. Wakefield is only a hero to people that believe autism is worse than death because some of his subjects could have died from trying to create evidence for a trial. Shame on him and his supporters.
