Check out this film we've made, showcasing how we make your favourite cider. Step-by-step, see every stage of the process... All the way from picking the apples at our Hereford orchards, to selecting the best, fermenting them and then bottling the delicious Bulmers you know and love.

  • Selected yeasts are then added to the juice to induce fermentation, which is closely monitored until it reaches the perfect Bulmers standard. We now have cider, but like all good things, we have to leave it alone for a time in order to mature. Lastly, the cider is blended just before bottling to ensure the drink is in perfect condition ready to flow into the bottles - and the rest, they say, is history!

  • Hi Stainlessfinish: our apologies that we couldn't show more of the process as much of the missing footage takes place in some pretty serious machinery, and we wouldn't want the cameras to interfere in creating the perfect Bulmers for you! Once the apples disappear from the production line they are chopped into what we call mash, a pulped version of the fruit which looks like porridge. From this mash the raw juice can be extracted through several giant presses.

  • What happens to the part between the whole apples and the bottled product? Not so step-by-step.
