Alright, im an arab and let me tell you this: An arab getting a shoe thrown at him is equivalent to being spat on and humiliated in public. It is a very big insult. Plus, its somethins anyone can do anytime. You don't need to sneek in a weapon, a knife, etc. A shoe is always with you. The first thing that comes to your head when you wanna intimidate someone is to throw your shoe or whatever ur feet is wearing to that person.
