I love this film. Misery is excellent etc but I have always really liked Needful Things. Needful Things and Misery are my two favourite film adaptions of King's books.

When I read Needful Things for the first time, I thought how perfect Max Von Syndow would be for the part of Gaunt. Then I look it up and find out he IS Gaunt in the movie!

@Warwolf2008 Oh? What was in that version that was left out of the original? I was so let down they did not show the Elvis rivalry between Myra Evans and Cora Rusk! There was one tiny cameo with Cora wearing the King's sunglasses if I remember correctly T_T

Im sorry, but as much of a masterpiece the novel was (it WAS phenomenal) I felt the movie really did it a huge disservice. They were way to obvious about Leland Gaunt and the Satanic undertones and it was just a letdown :/

I absolutely love this movie, I used to watch it time and time again when I was at high school. I would kill to see this so-called 3 hour version. I noticed two clips I had not scene before. Please release a special edition of this movie!!!

I have the 3 hour version somewhere on a vhs tape. I taped it off of TBS a couple years ago.
