Agent: Shadow - The Ugly Lass

This is my new animated film, "Agent: Shadow" which has now been 1 and a half years in the making: since May 2009.

The secret agent duo Shaun Shadow and Chris McCrowe are out searching for the notorious firearms dealer El Mark Man. But when they find him (and the petty teen crook Haytch) and give chase, Shadow finds himself faced with the biggest horror he's ever seen. The dreaded...Polly Hooker!

Can the secret agent duo catch the notorious El Mark Man? Well, of course they can! But is the repulsive Polly Hooker going to thwart their mission? We shall see...

I have found this project to be quite a journey for me personally, because I have seen how my animation skills have improved over time, both for working on it, and learning new things at uni as well. As I'm at uni, it meant I could only work on "Agent: Shadow" during Summer holidays and Christmas holidays. Really, I've worked on it continuously for 9 months; I had to postpone it during term time at uni, or else it would be too much to do!

HARDWARE USED

Lightbox (for drawing traditional animation)

PC and Laptop (obviously!)

Scanner (scan drawings in)


SOFTWARE

Microsoft Paint (Colour scanned drawings)

Microsoft PhotoDraw V2 (Create backgrounds, cut out the coloured and scanned characters)

Macromedia Flash (animating more complex scenes, i.e. with background scrolling)

Adobe Premiere CS3 (compiling .jpg frames, Flash AVIs, music, dialogue, titles, etc.)

KB Piano (composing MIDI music)

Mixcraft (Convert and edit MIDIs to WAV audio so they can be inserted into Adobe Premiere)
