Simple phrase in D...
The first slide utilizes a bar move up, and then pedal down to a Maj7 on string 5..Up to G major interval and resolving back to the 1 chord. From D we slide into the G again with a triad diatonic move and resolve with a pedal sus4 to the 1....Thanks for all your comments and support guys...Keep the emails coming!...Mickey

  • Brilliant Mickey

Request, I would love to see "Teach your Children"

    Pleeeeeeeeease!

  • OK...Give me a day or two...Il get it for you...thanks for the post

  • Howdy Mickey....Hope you very fine, but, "Are you sure 'bout this solo...?"

  • As for being and exact duplicate, no it isnt...It is close. The maj7th interval isnt on the record and the walk down has another pedal move in it. Also the slide is not exact. Its also possible for the same moves to be played with different string groupings...something that is unique to the pedal steel....would you like for me to record EXACTLY whats on the record for you?....id be happy to...

  • Man oh Man, You don't need to record it for me. Thank you so much. I play this song as recorded by Buddy Emmons on GS "Pure Country". I was just asking about the way you play. By the way, I love the way you show us how to play this or that song. Thanks for your reply.
