no where is it possible to be such a fuck up drive companies into the ground then turn into a meaningless humbled douchebag with fingers crossed than in america
I don't know why the CEOs propose to implement their recovery plan ONLY IF they get assistance. What's with all the bargaining? The situation must not be as dire as they described. If it was, they would have implemented their cost saving measures a LONG time ago.
Make efficient cars then. Limit excessive mgmt perks & salaries. Kill loser brands (e.g. Hummers). Renegotiate union contracts. Etc. These are all no brainers. THEN beg for assistance. These morons didn't do jack and expected to get a $25B handout on their 1st crack with no plan. Then on their 2nd try carpooled 1100 mi to DC. How stupid & wasteful was that? Totally clueless. How can anyone justify their multimillion $ salaries based on this? They ought to fall on their swords.
It is a dire situation prompting auto CEO's to ask for a bailout but as a "news" gatherer what is the point in putting out a piece that damns the CEO's for cleaning up their act and putting coherent plans together? You people aren't happy unless adopting a smug" I told you so stance". When you better know how to be the captain of industry please bestow all of us with your sage insight.
