POLICE SENDS TWO MEN TO JAIL INPLACE OF ABUJA PROMINENT BUSINESSMAN.
In a very empathetic story that attracts sympathy; two men have been sent to jail by the Garki Police for an act perpertrated by Mr Ifedi Ejim who allegedly threw out his tenants goods worth 500million from his warehouse without notice.
Mr Ifedi allegedly collected from Mr Kanu the sum of 1.5million naira for a warehouse space on his property located at Idu industrial layout. Before the expiration of Mr Kanu's tenacy, Mr Ifedi leased out the property to expatriates and in his bid to make the warehouse vacant resorted to throwing out his tenants goods. He hired trailers and labourers, forced himself into the warehouse without the consent of Mr Kanu. He loaded the goods and dumped it in a bush near EFAB Mall Area 11.
After three days the police secured the goods and discovered to everybody's dismay that goods worth over 215 million were missing. Since May the matter has been with the Police, delay in prosecuting the matter tends to suggest that the police have been compromised. Severally thieves and miscreants have been caught by the police stealing the said goods; these thieves have been jailed without any recourse to the original offender who dumped the goods there.
We hereby call on all meaningful Nigerians to help in condemning this dastard act of Mr Ifedi Ejim. He should face due process of the law and the police should expedite action on the matter and stop sending people to jail.
