Hi everyone who likes this, and looooves the 70's original....
I have just got a reply back from YTV, saying the bit of footage may have been archived at the BFI in London. Called them, they say it was actually made at YTV Leeds. Called them, they said some of their stuff ended up ITV Anglia...So I called them, and a nice guy Robin Neary, is looking on our behalf...I'm not really holding my breath, but hey; You never know eh? So cross those fingers, and I'll let you know when/if I get a reply.

Has anyone actually found the original 70s intro and soundtrack? None of them on here 'seem' right, or how I remember it. I've been obsessed with it ever since. :)

I remember when TV used to show classic horror movies on a Friday or Saturday night, stuff like Tales from the Crypt, From Beyond the Grave, The Abominable Dr.Phibes, Dracula A.D.1972, Witchfinder General, etc.

Amazing how many of us were mentally scarred/delighted by the 70's intro. I'd love to see it here, so I could play it before my own "Appointment With Fear" (every Friday night a 70's horror video goes on). Of course, it would have to be preceded by the end titles of the ITV news at 10 too. (Yes, I'm that sad).

Any news!

I Remember the opening sequence of appointment with fear with the castle on a hill with lightning above it this was a simple but effective intro.

Do you remember the horror double bill they ran on BBC 2? I always used to look forward to the colour Film (Normally a Hammer) they put on second. Now-a-days I love the older b/w movies. Whats your fave'?
Regards...JM
