what do you expect? the league makes exceptions to the rules for pittsburgh all the time. bettman knows the pens aren't good enough to win the cup on their own so they bend the rules and let them get away with murder just so that his precious little cindy could finally win one. it's just like how malkin wasn't suspended for 1) fighting in the last 5 min, 2) not having his jersey tied down AND 3) hitting zetterberg in the head with his stick. yet the league ignores all 3 just so they would win.

no he wasn't trying to stuff the puck in.
look how his right (upper hand moves foward) while the left doesn't do jack.
he wanted to disrupt the goalie and then bury the puck. That being said, he gets a fine while avery hits the guy and gets nothing....and I am a devils fan.
