    "Have you met George Keiser?"

"Uhh, I think we ran around naked in Bohemian Grove."

    "More than once?"

I love it how he is not committed to partisan politics. His views are his views.

Capitalism is more economic related then what Reagan let pass through with social legislation.

He fell prey to what so many so called free market politicians do, they forgot that economic freedom goes hand in hand with social freedom.

I would agree that lowering marginal income tax rates while eliminating deductions is the way to go.

Unfortunately we are more likely to remove deductions while leaving taxes to give cover for politicians who want to spend but hide the costs through debt.

I agree with you regarding tax rates. No one paid 70%, but flattening taxes while eliminating deductions is the way to go. I don't know how veto rates and capitalism are linked, but Reagan vetoed more than most at number 8 he is beat out by the likes of FDR at # 1 and I wouldn't say FDR is the # 1 capitalist.

Communism defeated itself by bankrupting itself, all Reagan had to do is not launch the missiles first.

He cut marginal tax rates, while overseeing the expansion of other means to raise government revenue that are not as obvious.

When they cut those rates too, they did away with a great number of deductions, this is a positive but really, nobody paid that full rate.

Reagan was far from Capitalist in his actions, he didn't exercise his veto power nearly enough to earn that title.

Reagan walked a bit also. Cut taxes from 75% to 35% and created 20 million jobs setting stage for the economic expansions of the 80s, 90s, 00s. Defeated communism leading to the fall of the soviet union. Changed a few things. Do you remember, were you there? No offense, and you're entitled to your opinions, but if you clearly examine the facts you can see the differences between marxism and capitalism. It's pretty glaring.

I guess if you really think a Romney president would have done any of that there is nothing I can say to you.

Reagan talked the talk, what changed, nothing.

Obama is an extreme leftwing marxist. He has radically increased the size of govt. Romney is a moderate conservative. Romney has balanced budgets before and would have signed a balanced budget / Ryan budget. The obama budget is $1.5 Trillion in deficit year after year with out end. If you're coming from a truly libertarian view it's non-sensical to say obama = romney. Not even close. Maybe you're too young to remember Jimmy Carter. obama is like carter as romney is like reagan

Vote for the lesser of two evils and you end up with evil.

Its the same argument that has been used throughout history and its why we have a two party system.

I honestly think we are neither better off or worse of with Obama as president instead of Romney.
