Don't you think "Magical Mystery Tour" is underrated? It has beautiful songs like "I Am The Walrus", "The Fool On The Hill", "Penny Lane". Better dan Sgt. Pepper for me...

i got the album on vinyl

That's one of my favorite Beatles albums, it's like a sgt. Pepper vol. 2. I've got both the stereo and mono version from 2009 and it's the "only" american version of any Beatles album you get in the remasters (Capitol Reords, Hollywood CA). Fake stereo? That's right, I've heard about it all. The Beach Boys' Pet Sounds was in fact in that same idiotic treatment back in 66'. Thank God we have this new technology that can save things for us!

1:49 re George's Mini Cooper, "...John is driving it", he's not because in the UK that's the passenger seat :)

@arjnewton I was wrong. John's MMT says Let It Be
-
@MrBandontheRun Okay, I bought a stereo MMT cd when they first came out, stated Let It Be Doc. I bought the boxset, but never opened the individual cd's. Bought another MMT stereo, same thing, Let It Be Doc. So, tonight, 10-10-10, I broke down, opened my Stereo Boxset MMT, and BINGO!!!!! Magical Mystery Tour Documentary. I believe John's Has that as well. Maybe it was a partial mistake on first pressings. I don't know. Just happy to have one that is correct. OCD, I guess.

0:38 Hey! That's The Dude From "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"!
Hey John, can you check on this? I first got MMT in the late 70's (I was in Kindergarten wow) and it was on the orange capitol label. The album, like Sgt Peppers had no gaps, only a split second after the die away on the fade, and Flying had a longer fade on the stereo. When I got the first CDs and I got MMT, that's when I saw there were now 3 second gaps, and on the new mono and stereo remasters as well. Was that something Capitol did on the repressings with it being gapless?

Great, great video! I Am the Walrus (one of my personal favorites) is technically half in phony stereo too. After the "sitting in an English garden..." vocal part, Lennon's vocal from that point on are a mono mix split up into two channels. It's on the master tape, but you can tell the sound difference if you skip the middle eight.
Love the reviews, and frankly, if you keep reviewing the albums over and over, it wouldn't get old. cheers!
