  • Out of curiosity where did you learn your hojo work?

  • i was taught some hojo by sensei Fred Fitzgibbon at wjjf hq in Fazakerley, Liverpool. Then me and a couple of others began to get together at my club to try to develope a few techniques ourselves. Hojojutsu is only a small part of the wjjf 3rd dan syllabus and we are by no means experts, i just took a real interest in it.

  • I gotta say in the two years I have been doing Ninjutsu I have never had an opponent stay still long enough to do anything that fancy. But a good tie for some one who is K.O'ed thats for sure.

  • man, it must be painful to be stuck in that position for too long.

  • I came accorss hojojutsu in ninjutsu, and have also taken a real liking to it. We only covered it very briefly, but its a discipline id like to master. Hojojutsu is art.

  • Thats an interesting display.

It does look like you have made that up yourselves.

I am not an expert either, but I suggest that samurai (peasant officers) would have made tha chain around the cord to the ankle, thus tightening it slightly more than normal...

Keep posting more though, I love this stuff, and it's interesting to see how different people take things.

Incidently, what cord do you think the samurai would use these days for torinawa jutsu?

More a philosophical question but anywho...

  • i wish i tied too

  • Have you, by any chance had the opportunity to see Angier Sensei's hojojitsu videos? You may find them useful in the event you require clarification on some waza or would like to expand your curriculum a bit. Just a thought. Anyways nice video, beautiful work.
