and to let them off with such a mild sentence doesn't make me feel comfortable with teaching my children to trust cops. Seems like when officers are caught doing wrong, sure - there is plenty of media coverage getting the public outraged, but I believe punishments should be twice as harsh when the offender is an officer...just for betraying the communtity's trust AND that they are trained to know better!

Observation: Seems like Judge Lynch went easier on this former cop that SEXUALLY abused this child by sentencing him to ONLY FOUR YEARS...but just recently sentenced a woman to ELEVEN YEARS that physically abused her child(ren). I'm not saying one is any worse than the other, but to have a person in a position that we teach our children that we are to respect and TRUST peace officers that are sworn to SERVE and PROTECT. Is it really appropriate that a Judge get emotionally envolved ina case? Shouldn't it be handled professionally by the letter of the law? Just wondering. Seems very unprofessional, but then again, I'm not from the U.S.
