some interpretation anyone? My thought process: Cows beneath the sea can be reworded to sea cows, which is a common name for the manatee. Since manatees live at the bottom of the ocean and the song expresses John's desire to join them in 'Cowtown', he wants to go to the bottom of the ocean. How will he get there? The ridiculously savory idea of suicide comes in to play here. Yes, my dear friends, this song is about suicide.

@ritzbitz00 I agree, sure it's nice to have a message sometimes, but I'm sick of songs about love, being single, or about having someone cheat on you. Ridiculous songs or instrumentals can be good music too.
