  • Hi Kim,

Thanks a million for this easy, non-tech step-by-step guide. I was overjoyed to find it. After 2 weeks of searching this is by far the best NextGen Gallery guide I've found.

Do you have one for WordPress NextGen GalleryView? I'd like to insert thumbnails below my image slider but can't find an easy to understand (i.e. non-tech) guide. My best attempt produced a huge arrow below the thumbnails. Please help.

    Keep up the good work!

  • @PinPointResources

I do not have a video for GalleryView but I do have a CSS fix for the big arrow.

You can find it on my site at artbiz.ca. look for it under NextGen Gallery. Youtube won't allow me to post a link in this reply

Seems you are not the only one that has had trouble with the arrow.

Thanks for the kuodos, glad I was able to help.

    Kim

    Just to add:

I've put codes in quotes (" "). Do not copy quotation marks.

galleryview.css file doesn't show until you click "wordpress-nextgen-galleryview/GalleryView/license.txt".

Result: huge arrow replaced by neat arrow matching the one on the left, gallery working fine and Kim's gained a fan.

    Thanks again Kim.

    2. Add ".galleryview .nav-next { width:22px !important; float: none; }" to galleryview.css (found in: Plugins > WordPress NextGen GalleryView|Edit > wordpress-nextgen-galleryview/GalleryView/license.txt >> wordpress-nextgen-galleryview/GalleryView/css/galleryview.css)

    Thanks Kim.

I contacted Kim, a really fantastic lady who provided the arrow fix:

    1. Paste "[galleryview id=1 showPanels=true showCaptions=false showFilmstrip=true panelWidth=600 panelHeight=400 panelScale=nocrop transitionSpeed=800 transitionInterval=4000 fadePanels=true frameWidth=60 frameHeight=40 filmstripPosition=bottom pointerSize=8 frameScale=crop frameGap=5 frameOpacity=0.3 easingValue=swing navTheme=dark startFrame=1 pauseOnHover=false]" on the page

Part 2 to come - I'm out of space

  • This is SOOOO great! THANK YOU! I'm an artist and a web designer, working on a site for another artist, and this was SOOOOO helpful! Especially the Photoshop tip. You're the best!
