This will not be a NBC capable Shelter !
I have said that from the very beginning This is a simple shelter made for the purposes of Storm shelter , Storing canned goods and food storage , SHTF prep gear, a Safe house in case of Civil Unrest and ultimately a "Man Cave"
I simply just don have the funds to pay $3,000 dollars for Blast doors , $15,000 for a Decent NBC air filtration system, $40,000 for a Unit that could be pressurized ,I dont even want to know what a decent diesel fuel generator would cost , then I would need Spare Parts , then i would need thousands of gallons of diesel fuel then i would need a 8,000 dollar Underground fuel Tank Installed and buried plus Much Much more
This is simply too much for a small business owner to pay for
Especially when and If there was ever a Threat Like that here and I had a decent Chance of making it I would Be dawning gas masks and Bugging out to our Place in the mountains

  • This is some amazing effort on your part and you've done a really good job of it to day. Silly as this might sound you might want to use a tiller. It digs in 6 to 8 inches and you can remove more that way. It's advantageous in that you can always use it in the garden should you decide to begin such a thing. Just a thought.

  • @PhoenixCustomPrimiti The mantis tiller I have Just Bounces around on the hard clay bottom of the bunker hole

  • Thats a nice pond

  • @PHATTSTER thanks I think

  • You're one handsome stud! Pay no attention to the nay-sayers and keep up the good work.

  • at least its a hell of a good exercise

  • a shovelfull at a time, and dont worry about how slow it seems to be going...

    it will soon be done.

  • i rented a mini excavator last year it was under $300 for the weekend

  • Im jelous of the family in kansas that bought the nuke shelter no longer in use. 6 foot thick door, grow rooms, ground water filtration system. Must be nice to be rich.

  • Awesome job Patriot. I hope you complete it just like you have envisioned. I am jealous, i don't own property and am stuck living in a large city on the west coast for now. Cant wait to see the next update. Thanks for sharing.

  • hello patriotsurvival, youre gonna make a earthbag bunker? or with concrete? and are you far in the woods? because how you get your stuff unseen in the woods? i suppose the bunker has te be a little bit secret..for tactical reasons. cheers mate
