Tornado touchdowns in Maryland again

For the second time in 12 days, the Essex and Dundalk area in southeast
Baltimore County got hit with severe weather. On June 9th an EF-0
tornado was confirmed.

and I remember this.I didnt get hurt but I might have seen the funnel cloud and some lighting

Hi CoolCatevan9 , yes this are the pics from the June 20 Tornado. I am glad you were not hurt. I dont think their were any injuries that day, thank god. There were a good number of people who saw a funnel cloud and lighting but missed the touchdown. have a great weekend and thanks for writing, god bless

it made me mad to think I lived 10-15 mins from that area and I slept through it, the storm chaser inside of me would have driven towards that area the moment I heard it on the tv or my scanner. I love storms, its sad the destruction the render with using such great beauty all at once. grandmother Earth is definitely full of surprises and wonders... wish I coulda seen it in person.

I am sorry you missed the storm, maybe it was not meant for you to chase. God works in mysterious ways sometimes to keep us all safe. In reference to your comment about the great beauty of them, i totally agree with you. On one hand a wondrous creation of the heavens , and on the other hand a nightmare of devastation.

it is my house pretty bad too, i live in essex in barrisons point, we had 13 trees down . the one that hit here was an ef-1 and it only lasted 35 seconds! it was my sisters graduation party and we were all swimming when we saw it! It was crazy! but nobody was hurt! it was so scary, 3 trees in my yard were knocked down and one is being held up by a tree that fell into my yard from my neighbors.

I am so glad no one was hurt however i am sad that your house was hit. I hope that you and your family will recover from natures worst nightmare

I live in Berkshire, and remember this storm well. No tornado warning as I recall, either. Had some limbs broken off the tree in my front yard.

I was in SC when this happended i was scared that it would head down to annapolis cuz i live there we also had a warning in SC for a tornado.....(aunts house is why i was in SC)

i dont remeber seeing the funnel or hearing that it was a tornado i think there was a warning but i wasnt sure i wasnt as interested in the weather as i am now i live in dundalk and i didnt get hurt thee was noo major damage

in 2007 on my birthday thier was a tornado right by my house

my dad was driving home from work in this. he said there were trash cans and logs flying everywere.

it sure scared me since maryland rarely gets these!

I followed and photographed this cell for miles as it moved towards Essex. Very good structure to this storm for this area of the country. Glad no one was hurt.
