This is my frist of three ILS approaches this morning before work. There were layered clouds with ceiling about 1700'. Since we cross the OM KATHI at 1800, one will notice we break out of the clouds almost simultaneously with that position. Not super low but enough to show how important a good IFR platform really is. This is a long runway. It is over 9800'. C130's are based there. They frequently fly support missions to the Middle East. I received my primary license while flying out of here.
