Woman drowns after falling off cliff in Clovelly

21 September 2009 - Around 6:25pm a 50 year old female was seen falling off rocks near the southern end of Clovelly beach.

A number of emergency services were called to the area. Off duty life savers near the area heard the call for help and rushed to the scene.
The brave team of two paddled out to the woman and performed CPR on her until the ambulance rescue helicopter could winch her to safety.

Paramedics worked tirelessly in an attempt to revive the woman.
She later died at the scene.
