  • Holy shit that's my grandmother's sister's husband. I guess Dorse is my great uncle. His wife, Nellie was my grandmother's sister. Grandmother was Elsie.

  • Wow, same here guys. I just found Dorse Lewis looking through some of my grandmother's genealogy books. Greetings from the Hall / Johnson clan. I actually have some old pictures here of Dorse and his brother Ed, both sons of Jesse and Mary (Fields) Lewis. Turns out Ed Lewis was married to Gladys (Johnson) Lewis, which is where we came in.

  • yeah, I remember them talking about Cranberry Ridge as a kid. We used to go to Webster County every summer and also visit what was known as Mills Mountain... had relatives up there...

  • I think Dorse was from Camden-on-Gauley, WV originally. (Cranberry Ridge area) Webster County. Moved to Millville, New Jersey. Had a radio show on an AM radio station in Clarksburg, WV at one time, possibly in the 50's.

  • at its best,rough"n"ready
