beetles have voices

I had no idea. You have to listen closely but I made sure to capture it well at the end. The redness in between his body segments and on some of his rear legs are hairs, they're sweet.

Expect to see more nature stuff and weird creatures as life explodes back into this part of the world with the coming of spring... Was looking for a snake yesterday but no luck.

That camera never fails to amaze me. And nor does insect life. I'm just glad they don't get much bigger, they are pretty scary looking. :p

yeah they look weird and scary but if you just spend some time with bugs you will get over that, mostly. I didnt want to pick him up at first because of his big jaws, but when I interacted with the beetle it was extremely docile and never tried to bite me. Its likes to protest when you try to pick him up. Notice how he stops yelling as soon when I just let him crawl around on my hand at the end of the video.
