Revlon Colorstay Mineral Foundation Review

My opinions on the foundation.....

Basically too dusty/chalky/ashy for anyone to wear. Also a pretty sheer coverage.

Would I buy it again? Absolutely not!

its been my experience that 9/10 "mineral" foundations look ashy on black skin. it is very annoying

im glad u did this becuz i was actually thinking about buying it but i decided for the maybelline mineral powder :-)

But actually if u use their colorstay mineral finishing powder (i use it in suntan matte) it brings back color and takes away the dull looking finish of the mineral foundation ....just a though ...

Wow i just bought this it was on cleareance i paied like $3.00 but i absolutely HATE IT! Ashy ashy! Ugh!

The Foundation looks ashy on light skin too. I have mine in light.

The only thing I hate about that foundation is that there aren't very many color options for women of color. It ends up being either too light or too dark, too yellowish or too organish. I love the light coverage but I have to mix it with a slightly darker foundation in order to get it to look natural. That foundation also works better in the winter/cooler months than summer because it gives you a matte finish. The ash goes away after the makeup gets a chance to set.

I use the Deep one...and what I realize is that because of the minerals it has to kind of blend with your natural oils after a minute to look nice and the longer it is on the better it looks because it blends more but when you first apply it it kinda sits there. I LOVE this now and I used it all, bought another and still love it.

I actually love this product. When I first bought it I HATED it! I thought I looked ashy and dead and after 1 use I just put it down and didnt bother. BUT for some reason I used it again one day and went about my day and like 3 people were like "Oh ur skin looks so nice" and I had to think about what I was wearing then I was like um waitt...that ashy dead stuff? I looked in the mirror later on and it looked great!

ik exactly wat u mean! i got the color in medium becouse im not that dark at all and it made me look so white! so i guess i have to go buy the drakest one haha good vid!

I FOUND THE TRICK TO MAKING THIS WORK!!! The trick is to moisturize "very well" BEFORE you apply it...and this works like magic!!! There was absolutely no powdery/chalky look WHATSOEVER! I was shocked! It was GORGEOUS!!! I also used MAC Fix Plus spray afterwards and got the same gorgeous results!!! I used Color #070 Medium Deep. Try these methods and let know if it works (:

me too. I bought it because of all the reviews and its cheaper than M.A.C. but then I hated it.
