Stoneware pot, covered in a helmer slip, bisque fired. The pot has been decorated with liquid wax (Forbes brand), then brushed with underglaze to reveal that decoration. No actual glaze will be on or over this decoration. This pot will be fired in a gas-fueled salt kiln. The salt will react with the surface of the pot and form a glaze. check out www.carpenterpottery.com for images of finished pots.

  • HOW DID YOU DO THAT? LOOKS COOL!

  • For a person new to ceramics and wanting to learn how to do a cool design like yours, this video is of no help. I love what you did, but have no idea how you did it.
