This is a great way to inspire your friends to attend your house concerts.

One of the toughest things to do is to describe the "feel and appeal" of house concerts to people who have never been to one. A concert in someone's home is not a complicated thing... but people often just don't get it.

  • Friends of Old Time Music and Dance (FOOTMAD) in Charleston, West Virginia has been sponsoring house concerts since around 1984, along with its regular concert and dance series. I have heard some great performances & enjoyed the informal atmosphere and friendship.
