  • I think i heard a slip over there at 2:16 it that right? anyways i'm playing this song for my diploma exam XD

  • There is some real nonsense in the earlier comments. Some of you people are, not to make too big a point of it, up your own bottoms. This was a fine performance, for any pianist, any age. If you didn't have the video you'd think it was a mature recitalist playing, not a tiny girl.

The subtleties come in being able to lessen the force you use from your arms by playing 'higher'. If by habit you play low, you are getting the entire sound of the key, from your entire arm. That way changing the force you use, or where you 'aim', can create a whole range of sounds. Otherwise, you'd not use a great portion of the piano or your own arm strength to produce a full sound, a light sound, and everything in between.
