New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, former U.S. congressman and ambassador to the UN, discusses his experiences negotiating prisoner releases with "rogue leaders" like Saddam Hussein and Fidel Castro and his diplomatic missions to North Korea, Sudan and other countries at the UCLA Burkle Center for International Relations' second annual conference on March 11.
I aggree with class14rider onthis... it is silly 2 think that we should not talk to our enemies... Communication is a great way to see eye to eye or make ammends for past miss understandings. We teach our children to communicate with others to talk before using their fist... would would think that is a lesson that we ourselves would abide by.

Another example of the million reasons i have had a lifetime hatred to the Democrats or Liberals. They are the biggest two faced hypocrite polital party ever. The only reason i would not vote is because of McCain stance on keeping the Troops in Iraq. We would not be talking about these Democrats jokers here. Get the typical Big Democrat Shit Shovel Out. Keep Shoveling Up The Bullshit Fat Pig Piss Tank Ted Kennedy and Bill Richardson Democrats.

I'm still so depressed that this guy couldn't get past Obama or Hillary, he's the best of all worlds. I really hope he becomes VP or Secretary of State and runs for President again in 2016 or in 2012.

Great insights here and it supports what Obama said from the very outset of the debates that we need to talk with those who disagree with us unconditionally. You don't wait until people already agree with you before you will be willing to negotiate.
