So my brother tells me his car is not stopping and the brake pedal is slowly sinking to the floor when he is at a stop light, my solution, a master cylinder replacement. Join me on this quest to make the roads a little bit safer by helping my brother with this little problem. I know I do lots of stuff on Honda's and Acura's but I do work on other things too and we will get to those in the near future but for now I have a stock of footage of these cars so deal with it. I am trying to help you after all, and I hope that I do. If you really want me to do something I have 2 words, video response. Try that and I will pay attention. I get tons of text things but no video, I think I'm worth it, don't you?

  • hey eric love ur videos i need to know how to figure out if my problem is my booster or my master plz help

  • @mikeischaos If it's the master the pedal slowly sinks to the floor, don't forget to check the entire system for leaks however. If it's the booster the brake pedal is hard as a rock and hard to push.

  • Hi Eric, i have low brake pedal issue on my 2001 Accord. I replaced the master cylinder 3 times in the last week (because my mechanic suggested refurbished ones arent good so i ended up buying a brand new) then i changed my power brake booster, had my rear brakes adjusted by two different mechanics. Then i got Honda dealer to flush the brake system but the brake pedal is still low with absolutely no improvements at all :(

  • @livepakistan See the video I posted on "One Way To Deal With A Spongy Brake Pedal" and see if that works.

  • Thanks for the easy instructions! Saves us a lot on labour by doing things ourselves :)

  • @4drek You're welcome, thanks for the comment.

  • what is your opion on ratching wrenchs

  • awsome videos i own an 95 4 door Gs-R and the videos are such a huge confident booster, i know i can tackle much bigger jobs than i thought i could thanks to your videos being simple and "easy on the eyes" good camera work and explanations. The fact that your working on another acura just makes it that much better for me since its nearly the same as mine

  • Did you bleed out the brake fluid on the car before you removed the MC or did you remove it with fluid still there

  • Nice thanks bro

  • My pedal sinks to the floor, guessing may be the booster i opened the hood and saw a leak from the ending part of the cylinder. Do i need to replace the master cylinder or it's just a seal that i need to check and replace? The leak it's not really much but i have to add fluid every weekend, and by the way, the fluid turns black, i guess it's really dirty. Do this caused the problem to the cylinder? Thanks for your help.

  • gonna do mine on friday

  • Wish the bleeding description was more detailed.. That is after all at-least a third of the work.. Thanks for the vid though..

  • Hi i have a 99 suburban. I've having problems with my master cylinder. This is going to be my third time changing it. For some reason it always leak at the grommit . I have no clue why it does this? Cuz u know Any leak Will cause air in the systems. Could it be the ABS module ?

  • Greetings Eric! Firstly, your videos are awesome dude, have saved me a sh*tload of cash from the garage. SO I thank you. you rock. seriously. If you're ever in the UK you have beers waiting.

So I have a 2001 Audi A3 1.9tdi Also the same as the mk 4 golf. Sometimes the brake pedal will stick on, and i have to manually push it to its original position from the back of the pedal with my foot! Ive checked all the callipers and they are fine.. does this sound like master cylinder?

  • That was a rockin cool video.. Well done and the videography was awesome too.. :-)
