  • I am sorry to hear about your mom. My dad has since then passed away. Last May 2010. We miss him, but we love him and the memories are treasures. It is a great idea to interview her, give her touch and love. It is such a lonely disease when you feel trapped. It is but a short moment and then it is over so make the best out of it. All my love and best wishes. Lisa

  • My Mom has Parkinson's. All I can say is that I wish every day she didn't.

  • @DialovesBono I am so sorry to hear that. It is sad I know, but love them while they are here. At some point it may seem like they are not in there (when they can't talk), but they really can understand and hear you, they just can't express themselves. It is very lonely for them when others think they are not in there anymore because they are frozen up. My dad did die but I have lovely memories of him and I have faith in Jesus Christ and the Resurrection. I feel for you, give her my love!

  • Aw, this is such a cute video. I'm so sorry your dad had to go through this. My grandpa was diagnosed last year. It's so cute how you can still see him smiling at the camera even though Parkinson's makes it difficult to make facial expressions. Just keep having faith. The good thing is that he doesn't have Parkinsons anymore! Always remember you'll see him again. PS, I saw your caption about eternal families, & I was wondering, are you Mormon? Just because I am too. Sorry if that's too personal!

  • they say there is but they refuse to pay for it....something like that

  • Thanks for posting the video. My Mother has Parkinson's and is exactly like your Dad in your video. It's very hard for me...the grief is almost killing me....but when I saw your video....i decided to make some videos myself. This is helping me...it's like therapy. My Mother seems to enjoy being interviewed...even though you dont know what she is saying.....she's trying to get those words out for the camera..LOL. Thank you again and God Bless your lovely family.

  • Thanks. It's early in the disease, but her progression is faster than doctors would like. It actually helps me to see what's down the road for me and to get a grip on it now so I'm better prepared. Thank you for sharing this. I am sorry for your loss.

  • i feel what you feel. my uncle also has this disease. and it hurts us just seeing him manifesting its symptoms.

  • thanks for sharing this video...my dad too has this and it has recently progressed to another stage. this hits to close to home...thanks again

  • Thank you very much for posting this video. What a lovely family.
